When replacing an engine coolant hose, remove the radiator cap with the engine cool, and then drain the coolant into a drain pan. Loosen the clamps and remove the old hose. Compare the old hose to the new hose. Install the new hose, check for proper clearance and tighten the clamps. Now close the drain plug and refill the radiator. Reinstall the radiator cap and fill the coolant reservoir with anti-freeze. Check for leaks and recheck after the engine cools and then top off as needed.
